Internship

As an engineering student, the only way you can get any industrial practical experience is by doing internships! But getting an internship is no easy task especially since you may not have any insights and have no idea about where to begin. Therefore, as part of our podcast, we asked Yasir Rana about his internships, because he has a very impressive track record in terms of doing internships, as while pursuing his degrees at COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology and University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, he did 4 internships. Industrial Experience

Graduating with a chemical engineering degree can be very useful in the industry because ChemE can be applied in so many sectors and areas. The hardest part is to choose the correct industry for yourself! As part of our podcast, we asked Yasir Rana about his industrial experience, because in a short time, he has gathered a great deal of experience for himself within the process engineering and water treatment industry. He has worked as a Project Engineer and a Process Engineer at Darco Water Technologies and (IES)Integrated Engineering Services respectively, before going on his own with a consultancy firm. Founding and Running a Consultancy Firm

Entrepreneurship is a dream for many, but destination of few! I always remember this quote by Mark Twain, "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do". I hope you will agree that it is a powerful quote and very relevant for entrepreneurs. Because being an entrepreneur is scary! Going on your own is scary! Not knowing if it will work or not is scary! Doubting yourself in every step of the way is scary!

Therefore, personally, I have huge respect and admiration for Yasir Rana, who saw the opportunity and seized the moment to follow his passion! After a short but impactful experience in industry, he chose to go on his own with his consultancy firm, called Chemostat Engineering Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. Not only did he follow his passion, but with his hardwork and dedication, he has made his firm a success story! He and His firm have been working with the biggest companies in Pakistan and in the world within process engineering in various sectors!

If I had a time machine

We asked Yasir about what he tell his old self, if he had a time machine! Listen to what he had to say!
